The Premier Aging in Place Story

Premier Aging in Place Construction Specialist - Remodeling, Renovations & Modifications

As a society, we are growing older as each day passes. I know for me personally, I feel it and see it with the growing of my three children. Sometimes, I don’t like to admit it; however, the truth of it is that I am growing older and see my loved ones in my family growing older too. When I visit my mother and father, I witness from time to time how difficult it becomes for them to move around and take care of themselves. Of course, I don’t say anything, but I know it is only a matter of time before one of them takes a fall due to accessibility issues. What can I do to help? So I began to research and work on ways to improve my family’s quality of life a little bit longer. What I found out is that Jason and our company, Pinkerton Home Builders could create a division to support Aging in Place.

Yes, Aging in Place is for individuals who are growing older and need a little support with accessibility products within the home or house. This thought process and research began a few years ago, so we worked to become certified in the area of accessibility. After taking certification classes, working and mentoring under a company, we received our certification (CHAMP) - Certified Home Accessibility Modification Professionals. Since becoming certified, we have created a separate division within Pinkerton Home Builders to care for individuals who need help with accessibility products and services within their homes.

Pinkerton Home Builders is a licensed general contractor, NASCLA certified, and CHAMP certified, so we are in a position to provide care to Aging in Place by providing modifications, renovations, remodeling and offering accessibility products for customers needing a better quality of life within their home/houses. We are excited about offering our expertise as Aging in Place Specialists to visit with aging home owners, analyze and assess what they need (products and services), offer recommendations and government support in some cases, cost and complete the project from start to finish to enhance their quality of life within the home.

If you have witnessed some of the same accessibility challenges with family members, loved ones or friends aging, please feel free to complete a contact request form or call us as we would appreciate the opportunity to talk with you regarding the opportunity to improve accessibility challenges within the home through home modifications, renovations, remodels, and purchase of accessibility products.

Pinkerton Home Builders is licensed and insured in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia as Home Builders, but our ability extends beyond these states as we are Nationally Certified CHAMP and have contacts across the United States to help with Aging in Place.

Thank you for your time and interest in this growing concern.

Best Regards,

Melissa Pinkerton
